C.S.Inc. Conducts the 1st “Eco-Friendly SVG” E-Waste Management seminar for 2017 .

Local non-profit company Constructive Solutions Inc. conducted the first Eco-Friendly SVG E-Waste Management Seminars thanks to the kindness of Stakeholders, Edge Media Centre, Coca Cola and Harvest Bible Chapel Ministry Centre Arnos Vale where the seminar was held on Tuesday 17th January 2017.

Project Assistant with C.S.Inc Carcelia Carter-Davis in her welcome mentioned “Yearly we design and coordinate a number of community programs geared towards citizens gaining financial freedom and sustainable livelihoods through life skills coaching in Entrepreneurship and workforce Development across SVG.

ecofriendlysvgharvest10Project Coordinator Dr. Ashley John presented on E-Waste the National  and Community Problem, then he presented several solutions to combat this environmental challenge by establishing an E-Waste collection point facility to recycle all discarded electronic waste across SVG.

IMG_2557Semesha Corea Project Assistant presented on What is E-Waste its effects and the do’s and don’ts while handling Electronic waste.

Moving forward, C.S.Inc is hoping to complete Phase two of the very important project, “Developing Good Environmental Practices for Managing and Disposal of Hazardous Materials Found in E-Waste across St Vincent and the Grenadines”.

Under the Theme ‘Eco-Friendly SVG Dr. John explained, this project is funded by the GEF-SGP\UNDP and is being coordinated in partnership with COESL and CEM Inc. based in Barbados. The SWMU, Youth Affairs Department and CYEN are additional local stakeholders of this vital pilot project which started in September 2015.


Citizens present were also given an opportunity to experience what would take place inside of an operational Collection point facility when one is established in St. Vincent & the Grenadines.


The main goal of this phase is to increase awareness and educate the general population on better environmental practices when disposing of Electronic Waste, additionally providing training and employment of young person’s to work in an E-waste Enterprise.



Dr. John further mentioned that SVG now has a great opportunity to implement better environmental best practices to the benefit of the people and stakeholders alike and C.S.Inc would be conducting other seminars across SVG. We would keep the citizens informed as to our upcoming sessions.


Electronic Waste recycling is the most beneficial management technique because it reduces the extraction of raw materials into the environment.
